Godrej & Boyce GFG 45T Forklift – Yearly Inspection Procedure
Conduct this OSHA and ISO-compliant yearly inspection to overhaul, certify, and optimize the full operation of your 45T diesel forklift.
Annual Certification Planning
- Schedule yearly inspection with certified personnel and ensure forklift downtime
- Review maintenance logs and previous year’s service reports
- Order all necessary fluids, filters, and parts in advance
- Allocate time for full diagnostic testing and performance documentation
- Ensure compliance documentation templates are available before starting
Engine & Powertrain Overhaul
- Drain and replace engine oil, oil filter, and air filter
- Inspect turbo, exhaust, and emissions system for damage or leaks
- Test fuel system pressure, clean injectors, and inspect lines
- Replace coolant, flush radiator, and test thermostat function
- Run full engine diagnostics including compression test and idle response
Hydraulic & Brake System Certification
- Flush and refill hydraulic fluid; replace filters
- Inspect all hoses, cylinders, and connectors for damage or leaks
- Replace brake fluid, inspect rotors, drums, and pads for wear
- Check and calibrate parking brake and emergency braking system
- Lubricate key hydraulic pivot points and perform pressure test
Electrical & Battery System Overhaul
- Inspect battery housing, cables, terminals, and test voltage
- Check alternator output and replace belt if worn
- Inspect all lights, indicators, wiring harnesses, and switches
- Replace non-functioning lamps or damaged fuses
- Ensure all control panel functions respond within manufacturer tolerance
Safety & Structural Compliance
- Inspect operator seat, overhead guard, mirrors, and visibility aids
- Test alarms, horn, backup signal, fire extinguisher, and safety decals
- Check frame, mast, forks, and carriage for weld cracks or stress
- Verify that load plate, data plate, and OSHA certification labels are intact
- Lubricate all mechanical joints and record equipment certification date
Final Documentation & Submission
- Record inspection findings in the Oxmaint platform or logbook
- Generate the annual certification report and submit to fleet manager
- List any follow-up repairs, parts ordered, or post-inspection actions
- Capture technician signature, inspection date, and ID verification
- Archive completed report and set notification for next yearly cycle
