Mechanical and Drive System
- Inspect drive shaft boots for cracks and lubricate joints
- Check engine idle speed and vibration tolerance (target: 850 RPM ± 50)
- Torque rear axle nuts to spec (190 ft-lbs)
- Record noise level at operator ear (target: ≤85 dB)
Hydraulic System Expanded Checks
- Inspect all hydraulic connectors for seepage using UV dye
- Log lift and tilt actuation speed vs. baseline
- Verify proper routing of hoses and absence of pinch points
- Top off hydraulic tank using filtered dispenser
Operator Environment and Controls
- Check gauge calibration vs. external scanner (RPM, voltage)
- Test joystick detents and return-to-neutral spring tension
- Inspect cab air vents, mirror alignment, and step clearance
- Record seat track condition and cushion wear
Lighting, Alarms, and Visibility Aids
- Verify LED strobes, rearward alarm, and reverse buzzer function
- Clean and adjust angle of camera (if equipped)
- Log time-to-alert delay of horn and warning light response
Compliance Sign-Off
- Review checklists with floor manager
- Capture digital signature of inspector and manager
- Upload findings to CMMS with photo attachments
