EP Equipment EP20-15A – Yearly Inspection Procedure
Annual checklist covering electrical, hydraulic, drive, and safety systems for EP20-15A forklifts.
Battery & Charging System
- Inspect battery terminals for corrosion and secure connection.
- Load test battery capacity and verify charger output voltage.
- Check electrolyte levels and refill if required.
Drive & Motor Systems
- Inspect drive motor brushes and armature.
- Test travel control operation in forward and reverse.
- Listen for unusual motor noise during operation.
Brakes & Tires
- Check mechanical brake linkages and pads for wear.
- Test emergency brake and parking brake functions.
- Inspect tire tread depth, sidewall cracks, and inflation (if pneumatic).
Hydraulics & Mast Inspection
- Inspect hydraulic cylinders, hoses, and fittings for leaks or cracks.
- Check mast operation including lift, tilt, and side-shift.
- Lubricate pivot points and mast rollers thoroughly.
Safety Systems
- Ensure seatbelt, horn, warning lights, and strobe work correctly.
- Inspect overhead guard, load plate, and operator controls for compliance.
- Verify backup alarm and mirror positioning.
Final Documentation
- Log annual maintenance in service software or checklist.
- Submit digital copy to fleet manager and safety coordinator.
- Attach technician name, company stamp, and time of inspection.
