- Inspect fluid levels and look for signs of leaks or wear.
- Operate mast, tilt, and side-shift functions to test smoothness.
- Check for hose wear and secure fittings under pressure.
- Verify transmission fluid if separate; monitor shifting feedback.
Brakes, Tyres & Safety Systems
- Test brakes on incline; ensure parking brake holds under load.
- Inspect all tyres for damage, inflation, and tread.
- Test horn, lights, backup alarm, and seatbelt condition.
- Check overhead guard for damage or looseness.
Battery & Electrical System
- Test battery voltage under load; inspect terminals.
- Inspect lights, display indicators, and ignition function.
- Secure battery housing and clean corrosion.
- Test alternator charging rate if equipment permits.
Weekly Documentation & Notes
- Log key observations and flag any fault for further repair.
- Update the weekly maintenance log sheet or app report.
- Review prior inspections for trend tracking.
- Document technician name, date, and time of inspection.
