1. General Inspection
- Inspect for refrigerant, oil, or water leaks around the unit.
- Ensure that the mechanical area is clear and safe for operation.
- Verify that safety devices and interlocks are functioning correctly.
2. Compressor & Oil System Monitoring
- Check oil level in the sight glass and look for discoloration or contamination.
- Listen for unusual noises or vibrations during compressor operation.
- Record oil pressure and oil temperature readings from control panel.
3. Refrigerant Circuit Check
- Measure and log refrigerant pressures for evaporator and condenser circuits.
- Inspect refrigerant lines for signs of damage, corrosion, or leaks.
- Verify proper operation of refrigerant isolation valves and sensors.
4. Electrical System Verification
- Inspect the control panel for any faults, alarms, or abnormal indicators.
- Check electrical terminals and connections for wear or overheating.
- Verify that all protective relays and circuit breakers are in working order.
5. System Performance Recording
- Monitor and log key performance indicators such as chilled water supply and return temperatures.
- Compare current readings with previous records for trend analysis.
- Submit daily inspection report via CMMS or manual logs.
