- Inspect entire unit for visible leaks, unusual noises, or physical damage.
- Verify area around the chiller is clear of obstructions and debris.
- Check that all safety devices and interlocks are functional.
2. Compressor & Oil System Check
- Inspect oil level in the sight glass and check for discoloration or contamination.
- Monitor compressor operation for abnormal sounds or vibration.
- Log oil pressure and temperature readings for each operating circuit.
3. Refrigerant & Pressure Monitoring
- Record evaporator and condenser refrigerant pressures.
- Inspect refrigerant lines and components for frost or signs of leaks.
- Verify correct superheat and subcooling readings as per manufacturer specifications.
4. Electrical & Control Systems
- Ensure all control displays and indicators are functioning correctly.
- Inspect electrical panels for loose connections or overheating.
- Check for active alarms or faults; log and address as required.
5. System Performance Review
- Log all operating parameters including chilled water temperatures and flow rates.
- Compare daily readings with historical trends to identify deviations.
- Submit daily performance report via CMMS or maintenance log.
